The sports club itself has a wide range of facilities including a fitness area, showers, bar, food, etc. The training area can be fully matted as needed, depending on what is being taught, one wall is fully mirrored to aid technique skills and shadow boxing there are also various punch bags including Thai bags, uppercut and angle. There are plenty of pads for students to use and although there are a few pair of 'Visitor' gloves around (students are encouraged to buy there own as soon as possible). There is plenty of car parking outside the gym.

How to get there

Via Penryn, Commercial Road

The gym is based at The Falmouth sports club on Western Terrace, Falmouth. (The Falmouth Sports Club). If you come to another roundabout and the Greenlawns hotel you have gone to far.

Via bypass and Asda

From Asda carry along by pass towards Falmouthat roundabout take first left down a steep hill, at roundabout at the bottom of the hilltake a right andafter about 250 yards you will come to another roundabout, go straight across towards McDonald's (now follow as instructions above).

Instructors

Falmouth Thai Boxing Club's main instructor is  myself Ian Davies. I have over  twenty five years involvement with Thai Boxing, a lot of those years under the legendary Master Sken - www.mastersken.com and his famous Sitnarong Camp. In recent years Kru Sandy Holt  www.thaiboxing.co.uk has also played a major role as an excellent mentor, coach and friend. It has been an honour to be an Instructor under these special people.  Although I did compete in the ring while in Wales and first year in Cornwall,  my move to Cornwall  put a stop to it as I was very much isolated down here as there were no other clubs in Cornwall. I decided to  open Falmouth Thai Boxing Club..

Over the years I also have had the benefit of training and coaching off some superb grapplers and mixed martial arts competitors as well as leading self protection coaches especially Kru Bob Spour who is a good friend and superb Muay Thai and Self Protection instructor. There are loads of people who I really appreciate who have enlightened me  ( too many to mention on this page).
